Breakfast with WIFT-AT in Fredericton

Join us for breakfast and networking at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre  in Fredericton, New Brunswick on Nov. 10. The event is open to WIFT-AT members attending the Silver Wave Film Festival and one guest interested in learning more about the organization and all it has to offer its members. Breakfast and networking begins at 8 a.m. and runs until approximately 9:30.

 

The breakfast will be hosted by WIFT- AT Founder, Jan Miller and WIFT - AT NB Board Member, Kaitlyn Adair.

About the Hosts

 

 

Jan Miller, 

WIFT- AT Founder

 

Recently brought on as an International Consultant for the CMPA (Canadian Media Production Association), Jan draws from over 25 years working in the international market place as consultant, connector and trainer, presenting one of the top Pitching and Concept Development workshops in the world.  From Guadalajara to Hong Kong, Cuba to Cannes, Cartagena to Berlin, she continues to work with key industry players around the world to connect projects and talent.

 

Jan was the architect of Strategic Partners one of the world’s pre-eminent international co-production markets, featuring Canadian talent. She served as its Director for 15 years. Jan also worked with the Erich Pommer Institute (EPI) to design and present Trans Atlantic Partners, one of the top international co-production training programs, bringing together Canadian, European and American producers to explore co-venturing and co-production opportunities. TAP presenting partners include EPI, IFP New York and its new partner this year, CMPA. Jan continues as TAP’s  Head of Studies. Jan was also instrumental in launching and serving as Executive Director for one of Canada’s top film schools, the National Screen Institute, designing its Features First and Drama Prize programs and running its Local Heroes International Screen festival for thirteen years. 

 

 

Kaitlyn Adair

WIFT - AT Board Member - New Brunswick

 

 

Kaitlyn Adair is a passionate filmmaker from Bathurst, New Brunswick. She started her career in film working as an actor in film and television in Vancouver, B.C. She attended Vancouver Film School in 2011 and has been pursuing her passion in film since.

 

As a member of the NB Film Co-op, she recently took the leap to director/producer with a short film she wrote called March 2.4. She is the winner of the Jane LeBlanc Filmmaker Award and, was a finalist in the CBC Pitch Competition at the 2018 Women Making Waves conference. Kaitlyn was accepted at the Banff Centre for a film residency in July, 2018.

 

Kaitlyn is dedicated to feminist-based media and creating inclusive spaces for marginalized communities to partake in visual arts.​
