Media Shines Spotlight on WIFT-AT Workshop Designed to Help Women in Screen-Based Media Identify Sex

On Saturday January 27th WIFT-AT will host a workshop designed to help women in screen-based media identify sexual harassment in the workplace. The goal of the workshop is to empower each woman to claim her space so that she can do her job with confidence, comfort, and safety.

This full-day session will explore issues around harassment—what it is, what it looks like, why it happens—with a focus on learning ways to respond in situations that may arise on-the-job. Additionally, the session will explore the psychology behind harassment and include physical self-defence strategies.

The overwhelming interest in this type of session shows us that there is a need for programming of this kind and we are planning on offering similar sessions in the future.
